Cal-City Thanksgiving Trip

Take the 5 north to 14 north pass thru town of Mojave and stay in right lane on 14 north.  Turn right at California City turn off.  It will be important to Zero your mileage at the golf course bridge.  This will be just past McDonald’s on the right.

0.0 miles bridge.

0.6 miles turn LEFT at stop sign. (Mojave/Ransburg Rd.)

1.9 miles pass turtle reserve on left.

5.8 miles pass Virginia St. (correctional center on right)

5.9 miles pass water tank on left.

10.9 miles pass Al blvd.

11.8 miles turn LEFT at Silver Saddle (Rutgers Rd.)

14.0 miles pass Santa Clara and continue on dirt.

15.0 miles turn LEFT at dead end T.

15.4 miles go straight thru main dirt intersection.

15.5 miles pass water tank on right and map board.

18.2 miles you will be going down hill into camp “C” valley.  If night, you should be able to see a yellow flashing strobe to the left in the valley, this is camp.

19.6 miles turn LEFT at dumpsters and go up trail staying to left 3-4 hundred yards to camp.
