Patricia May Stuver was born in Los Angeles, California on April 27, 1926 to Joseph Marcotte and Hirmine (Gatz) Marcotte. Patricia’s young life was shattered with the death of her mother when Patricia was 19 years old. Patricia was enrolled in school at Catholic Girls’ High School in Los Angeles. She was liked by all her class mates and was known as the ‘likeable girl, full of fun and frolic’. She graduated from Catholic Girls’ High School in 1945 and was fond of Office Practice and sewing. Her love of sewing continued through out her life. Her interest in Office Practice led to her first job working at a bank when she was 19 years old. She worked at a bank in Los Angeles just like her sister Betty Ann. She was working at the bank for about two years when she met a 20 year old Marine named John Cerio. Patricia married John Cerio when she was 21 years old and they moved to Washington D.C. Patricia went to work at a bank in Washington D.C. with John’s sister. Patricia wanted to settle down and raise a family but her husband had other priorities and in 1953 Patricia divorced. Patricia remained in Washington D.C. for couple of more years as she was still loved and adored by Cerio family. In 1959 Patricia moved back to Los Angeles, California to be near her beloved father, brothers and sisters. Being with her family and friends was most important to her as she always loved to know all about what was going on in their lives. Patricia once again worked at a bank in Los Angeles. At the bank she met a woman named Nancy McLuski which had an uncle named Gerald Stuver. Gerald was introduced to Patricia in 1959 and it was love at first sight. Patricia’s good looks and sweet charming nature captivated Gerald and so Gerald whisked Patricia away trying to find a minister that could marry them as soon as possible. They ended up in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 1960 Patricia May Marcotte married Gerald Lee Stuver. Patricia moved in with Gerald where he already had a house on “Coolidge” in West Los Angeles with his son Steve, daughters Penny and Jackie from a previous marriage. Patricia accepted and loved her new kids unconditionally. To them Patricia was sweetest woman they ever met. Patricia has always been Mom to them. Steve did wonder how his dad could ever end up with an angel on earth, Patricia.  In 1961 Patricia gave birth to her only son Harry. About a year later Patricia and Gerald moved to Torrance, California where Patricia was a full time housewife and loving mother. Patricia being the supreme wife and dearest, sweetest mother would spend many hours at her church Our Lady of Guadalupe worshiping and praying for the well being of all her family and friends. Patricia was very active in her neighborhood with her friends and as always was loved dearly by all. When in late 90s the signs of her affliction with Alzheimer’s became apparent, we all felt a very special part of our life start to slip away. In September 2003 Patricia moved to Artesia Gardens in Buena Park, California where she could receive the very best care possible. Patricia’s sweetness and good natured humor was noticed by the staff immediately. Extra special care was given to Patricia as her infectious sweetness overwhelmed those around her. One year later in September 2004 with complications from the Alzheimer’s Patricia could not speak. Then late in September with her loving husband Gerald by her side she spoke, “When Are We Going Home? Jerry I Love You!”  These were her sweet last words.

Patricia May Stuver you are now Home. The Home, that eternal Home that is created especially for sweet angels like you!

Memories from the heart are Forever…..We love you Patricia  GOD BLESS
